#ReleasetheRadhaCut. What else can I say more than this one word? For many people that might not know why I said we need a Radha Cut, it is because the second half of this film is atrociously bad in editing with a lot of scenes being cut short and a lot of stories being left out. People might be wondering, why were the scenes cut out? The one sole reason why scenes were cut out abruptly was because of the biggest Indian director, S. S. Rajamouli. If what is being said is true on social media then I have to blame the makers for doing this. If we compare to the version that was supposed to come out on January 14th, that version had a runtime of exactly 150 mins but the one that ended up releasing on the 11th had a runtime of 138 mins. We can clearly tell the effects of the 12 minutes being cut out of the film and it affects the screenplay so badly. Furthermore, there is supposedly an extra 20-30 minutes cut out of the film that had to do with the Indian Emergency, Jagupathi Babu's story, and more about the palmistry aspect of the story. The laughable aspect is that this film is so close to the same situation that the Justice League faced when Joss Whedon was roped in to "fix" some aspects of the film but Snyder still retained the credit for the film. In all honesty, these Telugu directors need to stop listening to Rajamouli and being his Sidemen. He single-handedly almost helped and screwed Pushpa over by forcing Sukumar to make it Pan-Indian which almost led the film to become a flop if it did not pick up in the Northern states in time and he screwed over Radhe Shyam by editing out crucial scenes.

Now let's get to the real review of this film. The first 15-30 minutes of the film is arguably the best part of the film with the palmistry portions connecting to science and etc. along with the Sanchari/Udd Jaa Parindey song being picturized decently well. We are then introduced to Pooja Hegde and the first interaction between both Prabhas and Pooja Hegde is shot so beautifully and well that it stands out in the film with the Ee Raathale/Jaan Hai Meri song being picturized beautifully also. From there on, however, the film is dragged down with the really bad comedy by Jayaram and Priyadarshi and it just ends up being a lag until the second train sequence which adds some needed palmistry portions for this film. It then goes into another lagged portion with love sequences and it just makes the film boring at that point. However, the interval portion of this film brings us close to vintage Prabhas and it ends up ending the first half on a good note.

The second half of this film starts off on a really good note adding more to the palmistry aspects of the film but then is brought down by the really lagged love sequences but at the end of the last sequence, we shown a twist that relates to the palmistry that just works in this sequence and makes the viewer anticipated on what happens next. From here on with the addition of the Ninnele Ninnele/Main Ishq Mein Hoon song the story just flows smoothly but however, a lot of the scenes in this portion of the film are just blatantly ended early or just cut out and there is no continuation between scenes at all. This is especially frustrating as we are never shown the real ending to these scenes and the Jagupathi Babu story that comes in between. However, the London portions of the film add a lot to how the story is taken from there but the VFX and CGI are just straight-up bad on how the background looks so artificial. The rain scene in particular however is just written so well with an ample amount of emotions involved and the ship sequence following it also adds to the story really well on how Aditya tries to survive the Tsunami. However, at the end of this sequence, we are never even shown how Aditya overcomes the tsunami even. Coming to the climax of the film. What a really bad climax to end this story off on like the background CGI is bad and everything about it feels unsatisfactory and this just adds to how bad the writing and screenplay was for this film.

To end it off, the music by Justin Prabhakaran (Mithoon, Amaal Malik, and Manan Bhardwaj in Hindi) works really well in this film and the background score by S. Thaman is just amazing throughout the film and really elevates it to a new level. The cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa is amazing and the editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is ok. Overall, if you have the chance to watch this film in a theater near you, give it a shot just for the visuals and background score, and don't expect any action from this film. Other than that, this film is good for a one-time watch and if you're not willing to shell out for a ticket then this movie will release soon on Prime Video.
